The First 24 Hours

After your tattoo session:

• Keep the protective wrap on for the time advised by your artist

• Wash your hands before touching your tattoo

• Gently clean the area with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap

• Pat dry (do not rub)

Your tattoo is essentially an open wound — keeping it clean is critical.

Days 2–7: The Healing Phase

During the first week:

• Wash gently 2–3 times daily

• Apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare cream

• Avoid soaking (no baths, swimming pools, or sea water)

• Wear loose clothing over the area

Peeling and mild itching are normal. Do not pick or scratch.

Weeks 2–4: Settling & Recovery

Your tattoo may:

• Flake slightly

• Look dull temporarily

• Feel itchy

This is part of natural healing. Keep moisturising lightly and avoid sun exposure.

What To Avoid While Healing

• Direct sunlight

• Swimming pools or hot tubs

• Heavy gym friction

• Tight clothing

• Picking scabs

Long-Term Tattoo Care

Even after healing:

• Use SPF on exposed tattoos

• Keep skin moisturised

• Stay hydrated
